The International Socca Federation continues to expand its footprint across Europe, reinforcing its commitment to establishing recognised national representation in all regions of the world, including previously disputed sovereign unities.
One such example is the Sovereign Island of Forvik, a small island community within the Shetland Islands of Scotland. This is a greater representation of ISF’s inclusive growth strategy, ensuring that all small-sided football communities, regardless of size, have access to a clear and professional competition pathway.
An ISF spokesman said:
“Of course, whilst the main recognised countries are important, know about us, and are joining us as members in 2026, we have always received requests from nations who may have been unrepresented internationally, and this year, because of our expanding list of events, we want to give all of these sovereign nations an opportunity to enter a team into our competitions. Forvik have been knocking on our door for a while now and we think that it is only right that sovereign nations such as Forvik, and others around the world that have been in contact with us, are given an opportunity. We hope that by announcing Forvik as a new members, it will encourage other similar mini states to come to us and want membership too. Our aim to be inclusive and have an open door policy for everyone.”
Commenting on the appointment, Rob Haworth, Socca Forvik Secretary says:
“We are excited about joining the ISF, and certainly look forward to promoting and playing in upcoming veteran format tournaments”

ISF’s development model is built on structured governance, competitive opportunity and long-term sustainability. The continued addition of members across both established and distinctive locations demonstrates ISF’s ambition to create a unified and professionally organised global framework for small-sided football.
Further expansion updates will be announced in due course as ISF’s continental network continues to grow.
