Socca China Announce Major Expansion in 2026

ISF’s China member has announced exciting new events to the Asian calendar for 2026.

Between February and June, Socca China will be staging regional qualifiers for both the World Championships, Junior Asia Cup and Grand Prix 7s event later in the year, with over 1,600 teams in each category going on to a regional finals day with 16 teams in June.

Asian President John Yan explained: “We are hoping to have the first 6-a-side Asian Cup in November as well as the first Asian Junior Cup at the end of the year, and these qualifying stage throughout the year will mean we can make sure we get the very best representatives to these major events.”

“It is really important that the ISF supports us along the way as Socca China grows from strength to strength in this market.”

ISF Chief of Staff Kelly Vincent said: “We are really excited about the prospect of Socca China strengthening their participation levels throughout both the adult, junior and 7-a-side formats and are looking forward to welcoming the first Asian Cups in 2026”.
