The ISF are excited to announce that the 2026 European Championships will be held in Tirana, capital city of Albania, in May 2026.

Following the success of the 2025 event in Moldova, the Championships move to a new upcoming holiday destination, which has seen a huge upturn in tourism over the past few years.

Albania Socca CEO Jurgen Denmeri (pictured with Ambassador Alban Tafaj) said: “Bringing this project to Tirana has been a priority from the very beginning. We’ve put a lot of effort into understanding the local creative landscape, connecting with partners on the ground, and adapting the experience so it truly resonates with the Albanian audience. Tirana has an energy and curiosity that make it the perfect place for something ambitious and culturally engaging.

What makes this moment especially exciting is the presence of over 250 amateur teams in Tirana—an incredible community that shows just how active, passionate, and eager for new opportunities the city already is. This project is designed to give them a bigger platform, more visibility, and a chance to be part of something meaningful.

For the Albanian audience, this will be one of the largest initiatives of its kind—both in scale and in impact. We expect it to reach a wide and diverse group of people, offering something new, immersive, and inspiring. Our goal is not just to present a project, but to help spark a broader conversation and open new opportunities for collaboration and cultural exchange”.

And in an all new feature for 2026, countries will be able to enter the event directly via the Socca App, with 2026 Socca members having first option exclusively by a set deadline to enter the event.

Dates for the ‘Euros’ have been set for 20th to 24th May 2026 and the entry process will be open in January.
