The ISF will be introducing it’s new 2026 Socca ball at the 2025 World Championships in Cancun, Mexico, starting on 28th November.

The ball will replace the existing ball and is a significant advancement over the previous model.

As Kelly Vincent, ISF Chief of Staff and Director of Retail Procurement explains: “We are lucky in that our new ball is manufactured in the same factory as Nike balls, and we were asked which Nike ball we wanted to use as the quality template. This means that, effectively, our new ISF ball will be exactly the same as a Nike ball we choose”.

Kelly further explained: “After testing different balls with English Championship players at a club near our offices, we decided on the Nike Club Elite ball, which has textured grooves on its surface which disrupts airflow across the ball in flight leading to it being more stable”.

However, our last ball had the upgraded gravity valve, rather than a standard rubber valve, and we asked for this upgraded valve to be incorporated in the ball.”

With the upgraded valve the ball would retail at around €65-€70, which we think is the sort of premium ball that we need for our major events, such as the World Championships”.

The ball is now in stock at the ISF Headquarters in the UK and member countries can purchase the ball directly from the UK, at a heavily discounted rate, although as Kelly explains, there is a minimum order value:

With the increased costs of shipping, although we can offer the ball at a discount of over 75% to our members, the minimum order value is 250 balls due to the cost of shipping, which would need to be added to the cost of purchase.”

Member countries can contact Kelly directly on [email protected] to order the new ISF football.
