With the 2025 TUI Socca Champions League in October getting closer, national qualifiers across Europe are producing their winners. In Romania, the regional finals were held in Iași from 28–31 August, bringing together 12 teams from across the country, all competing for the ticket to Europe’s biggest socca stage.
Iași, often described as the Socca capital of Romania, once again showed its strength, with three of the four semifinalists coming from the city. The final was a local clash between Arsenal Iași and La Ciorap Iași. After a tense and competitive match, it was La Ciorap who celebrated, winning 1–2 and securing the right to represent Romania at the upcoming TUI Socca Champions League.
Romania has a strong tradition in Socca, having produced legendary figures such as Radu Burciu, who this year will be present at the Champions League as the coach of debutant Greek side Magufana.
With La Ciorap now carrying the Romanian flag in Europe, the country will once again look to make its mark on the continental stage in October.
