The International Socca Federation is pleased to officially announce the dates for the 2023 Socca World Cup in Essen.
The prestigious tournament, following on from last years successful Socca World Cup in Budapest, will take place between Friday 2nd June 2023 and Sunday 11th June 2023.
The opening ceremony for the tournament will take place on the evening of Friday 2nd June 2023 in the purpose built stadium in the main square in Essen.
There will be 40 countries present at the tournament, with for the first time, some countries entering a qualifying competition to secure their place due to the vast number of countries looking to play.
Socca Tournament Director Tom Nash said, “We are all very exciting about the Socca World Cup in Essen. We are sure that, with all the experience bought to the project through LOC Chair Julia Colter and her team in Socca Germany, it will be an incredible event and will rival all of the previous World Cup’s we have had.”
