The International SOCCA Federation (ISF) is pleased to announce the appointment of Marc Mueller as its new Sports Director, marking an important step in the continued development of the sport.

Mueller, who is already well known within the SOCCA family, takes on the role with the objective of further strengthening the sporting framework of the federation. His appointment reflects ISF’s commitment to placing an even greater focus on the quality, integrity, and long-term development of the game.

While you are all familiar with our background in sports marketing and event management, we firmly believe that no sports project can succeed without first respecting the sport itself,” said Thanos Papadopoulos, CEO of the International SOCCA Federation. “With Marc stepping into this role, we are ensuring a strong and dedicated focus on the sporting side of SOCCA moving forward.”

In his new position, Mueller will lead the federation’s sports strategy, working closely with member associations to further develop key areas such as competition structures, regulations, rankings, and education pathways for coaches and referees.

A central aspect of his approach will be collaboration and transparency. The ISF aims to involve its member associations more closely in the development of the sport, ensuring that future decisions are built on shared experience and open communication.

Many of you already know me from within the SOCCA family, which makes me especially proud to take on this role,” said Marc Mueller. “My focus will be on strengthening the sporting side of SOCCA in a structured and sustainable way, while working closely with all members to shape the future of the game together.”

Looking ahead, the ISF plans to further develop its sporting framework by combining stability with innovation. This includes the continuous improvement of regulations, increased transparency in ranking systems, the expansion of education initiatives, and the development of new formats such as women’s and youth competitions.

With this appointment, the ISF underlines its ambition to elevate SOCCA on a global level – not only as a product and event platform, but as a sport built on strong and sustainable foundations.
