Leisure Leagues Pakistan are offering an incredible opportunity for European based footballers of Pakistani origin to play in the world cup.

They are looking for players to represent the Green Shaheens in Hungary between the 10th-20th September, as they look for glory in the ISF 6 a side World Cup.

Leisure Leagues Andy Thorley said that the opportunity – which will see successfully selected players get their traveling and accommodation costs paid by Leisure Leagues PK – was one to savour and he added: “The talent is there amongst the communities and this will help bring it to the forefront.”

Pakistan will be competing at their third world cup, and last time out in 2019, their young team knocked out holders Germany (pictured)

Now – in keeping with the ethos of the company – they are looking to expand the boundaries yet again, by offering European based Pakistanis the opportunity to compete.

Football is one of the most popular sports in Pakistan, and with almost 500,000 ex pats based in the UK in 2020 the talent pool is there, with Andy adding: “It will be fantastic you see young players coming though.”
