The International Socca Federation is delighted to announce a new sponsorship deal with master watchmakers Limit.
As part of the package agreed with the proud UK brand, all referees at the 6 a side world cup in Crete this autumn will be given a state of the art timepiece, with a countdown facility.
ISF Referees and Sponsorship Executive, Martin Cassidy was delighted to confirm the deal and added: “This deal – and others we will announce imminently – continues to show how important referees are to us. We are delighted to be welcoming Limit watches who are a fine watch maker and watch dealer in the UK.
“We believe that referees are the most important people in the organisation. Without them there simply is no sport. They are absolutely integral to everything we do at the ISF.”
In existence for over well over a century, Limit – which began incorporating Swiss technology into their build well over a century ago and today use the finest Japanese precision parts – has a long history of involvement with sport.
As far back as the early 1920’s they boasted its own successful staff cricket team competing in local leagues in Lancashire and Yorkshire. Sport was central to the lives of many of firm’s staff, and it will now continue to be with this announcement.
The 2019 6 a side Socca World Cup will take place in Crete this autumn, and will look to build on the tremendous success of the 2018 event in Lisbon, which saw 32 countries from around the world come together in a week-long celebration of football that eventually saw Germany prevail.
