CHAMPIONS LEAGUE: DAY ONE OF THE ACTION

The first ever Socca Champions League kicked off yesterday in Porec, Croatia and it did so with some absolutely thrilling action to be seen.

After the opening draw between home favourites Cotrugli Business School and Papalulu – as they shared four goals and the points – there were goals galore elsewhere.

The pick of them was an 11-2 victory from NK Ekosen Kapela from Slovenia, who thumped Ireland’s FC Drink Team, while Villa Vrsar from Croatia gave notice that they intend to bring the trophy home and saw off MFC Steaua Moustier 9-0.

NK Ekosen Kapela will be looking to get their second victory at 12-00 local time today, when the matches get underway again – the group stages complete tomorrow, with the final stages ending in a glitzy final on Sunday.
